In August 2015, Ekopolitan Project was in Havana, Cuba on the trail of 19th century migrants to Lagos. We were fortunate to be put in touch with Cuban historian and ambassador, Rodolfo Sarracino, (gracias Lohania Aruca) who had published a book on Cuban diasporas in Lagos, almost thirty years ago. We sat down for a conversation about Nigeria, Cuba, historical methods, and the power of serendipity. Here is Part 1. Please Like, comment, share, and of course, record your family history with the Ekopolitan Project. Future generations will thank you and so will we.
